Hi there,

I'm running a Windows 2003 Network with XP clients. The problem is that
whenever the clients are not logged in - they go into power saving mode
after 20 minutes.

Does anyone know how to completely switch this off?

Cheers,

John

John,
What Brand desktop hardware? You'll most likely need to
disable it in the BIOS. I had similar issues with IBM
machines.

I'm guessing it's because the default user profile has power options turned
on. Go to this key and see if you can change that.
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\PowerCfg

If you're not sure which values to modify, login and set the Power Options
the way you want them, then copy the registry values to the default user's.
