i am wanting to make a music presentation and want to use some of the
visualization that are on the window media how do i get into the window media
to put those on a pp presentation ans set it to music. or is there a place i
can get visual like what is on media

If you insert a Windows Media Player object on the slide and point it to
your music track it will play the visualisations. These days there are
loads of settings to play with in the Properties.

ok but what i dont understand is how to insert a visualisation from media to
a pp. how do i find a visual to cut and copy.

Visualizations in Windows Media Player are DLLs, not media files, and PowerPoint
wouldn't know what to do with them am won't accept them. If you can find video
files that contain spinning fractals, etc., like visualizations, you can insert
them in PowerPoint as movies.

thank you that is what i was wanting to know. do you have any sugestion as to
findign visuals like there are in media

No, I haven't a clue. You can create some wonderful animations in PowerPoint
though, particularly if you have PowerPoint 2002 or 2003. I think that would be
the route I would take.

oh boy u dont knwo me very well i am computer stupid i dont know how to
create things like that .anysugestion and thank you for your help i have 2003

[TOP ISSUE - Are you having difficulty opening presentations in PowerPoint
that you just created (you can save, but not open)? -

Hello,

If you are using PowerPoint 2003, you can get Windows Media Player
visualizations to accompany your audio in PowerPoint by doing the following:

In Windows Media Player:
1) Create and save a playlist which contains the audio file(s) that you
want to play.
2) Play the playlist
3) Select the visualization you want to display while it's playing.
4) Close Windows Media Player

In PowerPoint:
5) Insert -> Movies and Sounds -> Sound from file... to insert the playlist
into current slide (may have to choose to view "All files (*.*)")
6) Resize/Position the resulting 3:4 (aspect ratio) visualization frame
where you want it to appear during slide show
7) Verify and/or change any of its animation or media settings using the
Custom Animation taskpane or the Edit Movie command (PowerPoint treats
inserted playlists as inserted movies).
8) Play the slide show.

NOTE: The visualization used will depend on the system you are on when
displaying the show since it comes from system (Windows Media Player)
settings on the system and is not stored in the presentation in any way.

If you (or anyone else reading this message) have suggestions as to how
PowerPoint should provide access to Windows Media Player visualizations,
don't forget to send your feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft
by either:

PREFERRED METHOD:

A) If you are using Microsoft's web-based, online newsreader for Office
communities
(http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?dg=microsoft.p
ublic.powerpoint), check to see whether or not the suggestion has been
submitted before (Show -> Suggestions for Microsoft) and, if so, add your
vote to the suggestion submission. If the suggestion has not been submitted
before, click on the "New" drop-down menu and choose "Suggestion for
Microsoft" from directly within the newsreader web page.

OR, NEXT BEST METHOD:

B) If you are using another newsreader (such as Microsoft Outlook Express),
submit your suggestion using your web browser at the following address:
http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

It's VERY important that, for EACH wish, you describe in detail, WHY it is
important TO YOU that your product suggestion be implemented. A good wish
submssion includes WHAT scenario, work-flow, or end-result is blocked by
not having a specific feature, HOW MUCH time and effort ($$$) is spent
working around a specific limitation of the current product, etc. Remember
that Microsoft receives THOUSANDS of product suggestions every day and we
read each one but, in any given product development cycle, there are ONLY
sufficient resources to address the ones that are MOST IMPORTANT to our
customers so take the extra time to state your case as CLEARLY and
COMPLETELY as possible so that we can FEEL YOUR PAIN.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions).
