there are no office assistant charter files present,
please run setup in maintence mode and install at least
on character

How do you run setup in minatence mode

Roger,
If you have an existing installation of Microsoft Office and you insert the
CD, the setup will automatically present you with a choice to enter
maintenance mode.

Alternately, in the Add/remove programs applet of the control panel, you can
select the Office installation from the list of installed programs and then
click on 'Change'.

I had the same problem,what I did was just inserted the

office cd and installed a character and it worked. I dont
know how to run set up in the maintance mode either, but
this worked for me.
