I don't use the presention screen (it drives me crazy because you can't
enlarge the windows on the left side) Anyway - when I am running a slide
show and want to correct something - how do I exit the slide show so that I
can make the correction? If I click on the slide - I can change it - but
then I can't restart the slide show unless I exit the show and start the
whole thing up again. Thanks!

You can use Alt+Tab key combination to switch to normal slide design view,
make the correction to the slides and then again use Alt+Tab to come back to
the slide show. The running slide show would get the updates you make to the
slides.

If you have PowerPoint 2003, you can use Shift+F5 key combination to start
the slide show from the current slide. For previous versions, look at
"Shortcuts for PowerPoint" add-in from
http://officeone.mvps.org/ppshortcuts/ppshortcuts.html - it gives you a host
of keyboard shortcuts.

You might also want to look at PowerShow add-in at
http://officeone.mvps.org/powershow/powershow.html - it allows you to use
slide design views to control a running slide show. For instance, look at:

Use slide sorter view to change the slide on slide show
