Power Point 2002 upgrade on Windows 2000 machine with Office XP

The Powerpoint that we purchased was an upgrade to Office 2000 Small
Business. You (and I) have Office XP Small Business. To date, I have not
been able to successfully install the Powerpoint upgrade on a computer with
Office XP. Any Ideas
 
The PowerPoint 2003 upgrade can be applied on a system with Office XP Small
Business Edition. The PowerPoint 2002 upgrade cannot.
