Hello Everyone,
I am sorry I have not read other posts on this issue, but I am needing
pretty quick help. One of our pcs lost power. I moved the hard drive to a new
good pc but just reboots with xp sp2.

I was wondering is there away I can run sfc (system file checker) or
reinstall sp2 again on this hard drive from the recovery console. I have sp2
and sfc is on the hard drive and I can access the drive through repair in
system recovery. If anyone can help or give me suggestions I would greatly
appreciate the help.
Thanks
Dan

If you changed the PC/motherboard, the recovery console will not help you.
You will need to do a repair re-install of XP on top of the installed version.
Just make sure that you use the XP CD which contains the "latest" service
pack, that you had previously installed, integrated into it.
