HelpMePlease

I'm trying to insert a postal bar code field in my mail
merge document. My source data is an Excel spreadsheet
that contains two columns - 1 for the 5 digit ZIP and
another for the +4 data.

Is there any way to insert the postal barcode based on
the two combined merge fields for the 9 digit ZIP?

{ BARCODE "{ MERGEFIELD ZIP }-{ MERGEFIELD PLUS4 }" }

This assumes that you will always have something, at least 0000, in the
PLUS4 field. If not, you'll need to do a conditional field because the "-"
is required by the BARCODE field for a 9-digit zip.

Thanks for replying but I'm not sure I understand how to
enter this.

When I go to "Insert a postal bar code", it gives me the
options for merging with Zip Code or State. I
select "Zip Code" (which is my 5 digit ZIP).

After it posts the bar code, I've tried to toggle the
field codes and modify it to the format you provided but
I can't get it to work.

Any other suggestions?

Toggle your view of field codes (Alt-F9). You can insert the merge braces {}
using Ctrl-F9.
