Hi All,
Has anyone faced the problem where IE7 occasionally hangs on tab or window
closure? If so, are there any known fixes to date?

Cheers

There was the known method of uninstalling IE7 prior to installing SP3
and then re-installing IE7

Now, you may need to uninstall SP3 and IE7. Then, install SP3 abnd
IE& after the SP3 reboots.

This happens on my Tablet XP edition. I tried with no add ons and reset,
still hangs without reason.

I tried installing IE8 Beta 1 and same results, it hangs after openning
about 3-4 tabs. Good thing in IE8 it reopens the tabs after killing it and
re-starting.

I dont want to uninstall SP3, any help will be great!

I have also experienced the same problem.

Basically, since installing XP SP3, IE7 hangs frequently either when closing
it down or closing an idividual Tab.
