MonkeyBoyHalo
After being gone for a week, I came home and turned on my computer.
Everything seemed normal for the moment until I minimized my Firefox
window and realized it wasn't on the start bar. Puzzled, I messed with
my taskbar settings for awhile until I realized that I had a much
bigger problem. I can't move, copy, or paste any files as well as not
use the search function of windows explorer. Internet explorer will
not launch at all.System restore is giving me an error and telling me
to restart my computer as well as I get an error when I try to install
a program that required Windows installer . I'm not getting any error
messages on anything else, things just, won't work.
I'm running Windows XP Professional SP2 with Media Center 2005.
Does this sound like a fatal problem? I can most likely reinstall
windows but it's imperative I copy my crucial files prior to wiping
out my system? Any help will be gladly appreciated.
