possible corrupted spell check dictionary

my "new-to-me" Word 2000 Professional misses obvious
misspellings. Is there a way to restore/refresh a default
dictionary somewhere? Thank you!
 
Your question has nothing to do with the operating
system. Have you tried an MS Office or Microsoft
Word newsgroup?
