Lance

I'm currently running Windows XP Pro SP1 and IE
6.0.2800.1106 xpsp2. While in an open browser window, I
select a link, image, etc. that calls for the link to open
in a new window, the new window opens, but the page
doesn't load and the page seems to lock up. Only the
border of the window is visible. When I move the page,
the image of what was behind the window is frozen in the
window. I'm able to close it with no problem.

I've tried running all the Microsoft updates. Norton AV
has been up to date. I've tried uninstalling IE 6.0 and
reinstalling. No luck. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Lance

Hi Lance - Go to Start|Run and enter "regsvr32 urlmon.dll" (without the
quotes). After you get a Success message, re-boot. If that doesn't work,
then check out the following article and do the additional steps outlined
there:

Thanks. I ended up running regsvr32 on all the files
listed in the link below. I probably should've done them
one at a time to find out which one caused it, but works
now. Thanks.

Lance

YW Lance - Glad that fixed it for you.
