POSSABLE ANWSER to Vista freezing

Ok, this is what i did,
start
Controll panel
power options
Selevted the high performance option
change plann settings
change advanced power settings
Hard Disk
then i changed it so that the hard disk never turns off

Hope this helps any one struggling with this problem!

p.s. Befor doing this i had also messed with the drivers and tryed to get
them to work. but to no avail. this is the only thing that worked for me. I
even tryed to do a clean install. That was a long and good for nuthing night.

There is a bug in the default SATA drivers for some Intel chipsets. It
leaves on a setting that is intended only for laptop drives. Some
desktop drives don't support it, and will sometimes freeze for a bit.

The fix is to update to the latest Intel Matrix Storage drivers
(currently 7.8).
