Hello again,

I'm putting mobile bays in all the computers for the family and using up
some of the 3, 6 & 10 G drives in them for image files so that when they
bugger them up I can just restore them from Ghost 2003. Considering that I
make these machines up with parts recycled from the other machines when I go
on an upgrade binge (like right now) and they are for every age from 11
years old to 82... none are alike.

Can I, for this purpose, just put the mobile bay on whatever cable position
I might have available without specific regard to master, slave, IDE 1 or 2
or... do I have to reinvent the wheel on every single unit? This project is
supposed to save me time, not make even more work.

Thanks.

Try setting all drives on that cable to "Cable Select". I use Genica
removable bays in my PC and they actually require that.
