'Port 25 block', visiting parents - can receive but not send email

However, the threadstarter solved the problem by disabling the wireless
connection and restarting, but that didn't work for me. Someone mentions a
known work-around for this problem, does anyone know it?

You might check if your email provider (who is probably also your internet
provider at home) allows outgoing mail to use any port other than port 25,
and if so, the details of how to set up to use it. If they do, most
internet
providers do not use similar blocks on other ports. If your email provider
allows a webmail connection, that uses another port but won't work under
Windows Mail.
