can anyone help me i went to a poker site and got a load of porn popups and it put a file on my com that i cannot delet
when i try it keeps saying error another program is using it but i cannot find what program it is.
is there any way to stop this stuff getting onto my com

As an after the fact measure, you might want to add a firewall. I use
Zonealarm pro (not free). With the security settings set, I've almost
forgotten that popups and the like exist. About once a week I also run
PestPatrol to check the system for spyware.

I sit behind a hardware firewall - switch/router for broadband, a
software firewall (ZoneAlarm Pro). Additionally Norton Anti-virus, is
usually updated M - F, manually in addition to automatic since the
automatic signatures are not available daily.
