A friend (honest - it's true) recently sent me this message:

"I hit a soft porn site a few days ago but closed down when they wanted
money. However there's now a shortcut on my desktop which is resistant to
the recycle bin. No matter how many times I delete it and empty the bin it
always appears when I switch on the computer. Even when it's Amy logging
on - so a bit embarassing having to admit her sad old dad has bad habits.
Anyway that's the confession out of the way. Any advice or help would be
appreciated."

I don't know what to do. Can anyone advise me and I'll pass it on? Cheers.

Click the Start button, and then Run.

Type in "msconfig" (no marks) and hit OK.

An app appears called the System Configuration Tool.

Click on the "Startup" tab.

In the main window should be a list of applications and paths with load on
start up.

Look down the list for anything suspicious and untick it.

Reboot, and then retry the delete proceedure.

Bwahahahahahahaha!

The "Blame it on the friend" thing eh?

Click on start then run, type in msconfig and hit enter. Click the startup
tab and look for the site or shortcut in there. Uncheck the box and the next
time you reboot it should be gone.

Ad-aware 6.0 &/or Spybot search & destroy should clean these out (plus
whatever other social diseases he may have contracted on his PC .. not
all are as obvious as this one). www.google.com will find the current
download locations for both of these (both free).

oh here we go, did you really need to post that? Seems
that is the only reply some people have for that ! Grow
up man some people just like looking at porn
