IS there a way that I can fix my internet explorer to not
open all these damn popup adds ?
It seems that everytime I open my IE I get popup adds
launching and it slows my machine down some what.

Can anyone offer a solution ?
I tried those popup blockers but they jusat do the same,
thing slow the machine down.

Remove all Spyware/Adware with LavaSoftt AdAware and SpyBot Search and
Destroy.
Turn on your ICF (Built in Windows XP Firewall.)
Stop using your real email address when posting to newsgroups (your spam
*will* increase in that account.)
Run and maintain with updates a good AntiVirus software.
Run a trojan detector/cleaner like "The Cleaner".
Consider using "SpyWare Blaster" - great with no overhead:

Uninstall unneeded software.
Defragment your hard drive.
Set your home page to blank or a page you know does not have popups so you
don't START out badly.
Don't open email attachments you are not completely sure of.
Do not click on advertisements on Web Pages.
 
Definitely do not use your real email address on this
site. AS your spam and junk email will skyrocket. This is
one of the worst site I have every been on that has this
problem...

Site? Oh - you think this is JUST a web site? heh

Look into newsgroups. This "site" is a newsgroup that Microsoft threw a Web
interface in front of for the lest informed. The newsgroup replicates
across the net all the time, posting on local newsgroups all over the
world.. Meaning if you post your real email address here, somewhere on some
computer in China/India/Spain/South America/Canada your email is populating
their newsgroup and getting collected there as well.
