how can I delete a file that went straight to my control panel window?

With Add/Remove Programs, its Removal software, or Adaware, or a/v
software, depending on what it is.

Tried that but no go... when i click control panel, the actual file
"winviruspro" is actually in one of the windows... tried right clicking but
it only gives me 2 options, open and shortcut... any idea?

here's what's actually happened "I was clobbered by the WinAntiVirus pro 2005
pop-up today and I accidentally clicked download. I stopped it as soon as I
realized my mistake, however I still have an annoying white circle with brown
trim in the bottom right hand corner of the tool bar. I could not delete it.
Help.............Please........it pops up every time I turn on my computer
and I just want to be rid of it.

Do the preparatory work here:
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Removing_Malware

Then do the specific removal steps here:
http://www.elephantboycomputers.com/page2.html#Winfixer

Finish with the rest of at least the general malware scanning in the
first link. If the procedures look too complex - and there is no shame
in admitting this isn't your cup of tea - take the machine to a
professional computer repair shop (not your local version of
BigStoreUSA).
