Pop ups over taskbar disappearing now and again

I have found that sometimes while I'm working I will hover my mouse over the
little icons in the taskbar and I usually get a description of what they
are, or with the clock I get the date but sometimes I find the popups have
disappeared behind the taskbar. Anyone know how I can stop this happening?

it is a bug in windows xp that probably wont ever be fixed. it happens to me
sometimes. even the first time i boot windows after installing it.
 
Sometimes it helps to right click the taskbar...properties..uncheck keep on
top...apply...then check keep on top...apply.
