Pop ups are blocked even though pop up blocker is off

I am getting the pop-up blocker tone whenever pop-ups are blocked even though
pop-up blocker is off. Also, when I do have it on, the blocked site is not
appearing below the address bar so that I can view that site if I choose. I
have no idea why this is happening. I don't have any other adware or
spyware. Any ideas? I have not seen anything on the support web site about
this problem.

Check the options in your firewall and anti-virus or other security programs
for options to block popups.
