How do I get rid of pop up windows on my desktop from my "run " program when I first start up? There are several items shown but I can not delete them.

Are these pop ups advertisements or what?
Try going to Start > Run > msconfig
and unchecking suspicious items, and do a scan with Ad-aware and Spy
search and destroy.
