Pop Up Ads

Suddenly I am getting endless pop ads. Also when I restart
my home page preference keeps getting replaced and 3
unwanted folders are added to my favorites.

I've attempted to remove any and all programs that could
have been downloaded without my knowledge, but this hasn't
worked.

First eliminate any scumware.
