Pop up Ads when IE starts even though home page is set to about:blank

My IE Version 6 with all security patches 'calls' popups
almost every time I start IE. I've run adaware, and
apybot, both found nothing. The tricky part is that this
happens even though I have my home URL set to
about:blank. Anyone know where this pesky ad popup is
being kicked off from? I dirty version of VBRun maybe?

I killed my Nic connection and restarted IE. The popup
came up tried to start my dialer since it could not
connect to it's target URL which I captured from the
properties window of the IE session after I refused to
activate the dialer. The URL was...

res://C:\WINNT\system32
\shdoclc.dll/offcancl.htm#http://www.borderwiththedutch.net
/go.php?l=0003

I checked the registry and this line doesn't exist.

I also checked for fragments, like all after the # but to
no avail. I could not even find bordrwiththedutch.net in
the registry.

Any ideas?

Did you update Ad-Aware before scanning? If yes, and the problem persist, download Hijackthis and post the log to spywareinfo forums.
