My incoming e-mail is timing out. I have it set for 5 minutes and continue
to click Wait. It says I have 10 of 27 incoming when it does this. Is there
any way I can delete the incoming messages from Vista. I can pick up any new
ones, or current ones directly from RR.COM. It's really frustrating. Out
going messages are working, and I check one of the prior posts about checking
to make sure Properties are correct. Every time I reclick to try again, the
message repeats, I now have about 10 of each of the same messages. Thanks.

You might have to see if your email provider has a web interface where you
can log on and delete the oldest message that didn't download.

Email scanning should be turned off in any anti-virus. Also exclude EML
files from the scan. It provides no
protection not provided by the regular resident protection.
Besides that, McAfee and Norton are not compatible with Windows Mail and
Outlook Express and should be uninstalled.

Does the email server have a webpage where you can access your mail?

Thanks to all. I went directly to my carrier and accessed mail from there.
I then deleted everything that was new. I then went to Mail and cleaned up
and deleted. I then shut down. When I turned it back on this morning, it
was working again, so, something I did must have helped. Thanks again for
your input.
