hello, i have always the same problem when i begin a new presentation :
impossible to write with the verdana police by default. Times New roman
is always running as the police by default and i have to change it at each
new diapo. Do you have a response for this?? thxs

Create a textbox, type in some text. Format it as you want it to look
with Verdana. Right-click and go to Format/Font. Choose the option for
"default for new objects." This sets Verdana as the default font for
your manually created textboxes.

For the slide placeholders (the ones which say, "Click here to add
text"), you need to go to View/Master/Slide Master. Select the
placeholder and change the font to Verdana. You do not have to set the
"default for new objects" on the placeholder, as placeholders do that
automatically.

This works on the presentation you're working on. But it doesn't apply
to all new presentations unless you make these changes in your blank
template (blank.pot or blank presentation.pot).
http://www.rdpslides.com/pptfaq/FAQ00245.htm explains how.
