Pointless question about EventCache .BIN files

I have 254 .BIN files under C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\EventCache.
Just for grins and gigles, could someone tell me how many they have, or
how many it is "normal" to have? I suspect all but one of these files
are useless, and can be deleted...

They aren't taking up space, and no, I'm not concerned about it, just
wondering.

Thanks for the replies. No one can be bothered to look in their damned
EventCache folder?

Next time, I'll use a subject like "HELPP PLEEZE!!! I ARE IN
TWUBBLE!!!". I bet I'll get four dozen replies that way.

I have 40 in my EventCache, all deposited since I last reinstalled XP
(6/11/06). New .bin files were added as recently as 8/26/06. No idea
what they're used for, though.

I installed an update today and now have 41 items. I suspect this folder
will just keep growing as long as you install new software and/or update
existing stuff. The longer it's been since you've installed Windows, the
larger this folder will become.
