The pointer sometimes remains poised in a positon and wont budge...this
sometimes occurs on the scrolling arrows........which keep on scrolling.

Making a guess. See if this is the problem:

1. Click Start - Control Panel - open Mouse
2. From the Buttons tab uncheck "Turn on Click Lock".

If that doesn't solve the problem, please provide us a little bit more
information about the error.

Let us know!

Thanks.... but the button is unchecked " Turn on Click Lock"

Happens on certain screens and not others...
1) Office Outlook 2003....on the up or down arrows to scoll...majority of
times it seems to lock on and keep on scrolling.
2) MSN messenger...when scrolling thru contacts...does the same.

3) Other programs it can stay stuck to arrow...and remains for minutes...and
sometimes i have to turn off computer from the tower.

4)Sometimes when pointer is on a item and i press delete key........the
delete goes thru the total contents...lol.

Another matter ...i dont know if its related...is key characters fail to
register on first contact.

Problem occures on Windows Welcome screen for password entry...i have to
initiate the first character by twice tapping the character key.
2) When signing into msn messenger...for email account info...the first
character has to be twice hit before it registers on screen
3) When doing password for office outlook.... same again.

Try reinstall your Mouse driver. If that doesn't work then try a different
mouse.

Let us know!

Also try lowering graphics hardware acceleration slide. You can lower
graphics hardware acceleration in Display Properties, Settings tab,
Advanced button, Troubleshooting tab. If this helps, you probably need
a different graphics card or drivers.
