The pointer on our laptop has been "auto-selecting" text and menu choices.

Can anyone offer advuse on what menu options need to be changed to stop this?

Thanks,

Jon

Try this.

Open Mouse Properties...
Start | Run | Type: main.cpl | Click OK |
Pointer Options tab | UNCheck: Automatically move pointer to the default
button in a dialog box | Click Apply | Click OK

[[Specifies whether the mouse pointer snaps to the default button (such as
OK or Apply) in dialog boxes. In some programs, Snap To may cause the
pointer to automatically move to the center of the dialog box rather than to
the default button.]]

Hope this helps. Let us know.

Wes,

Thanks for the help. I tried as noted below, but the box was not checked.

Any other ideas? The problem is really annoying.

Best Regards,

I am having same problem on laptop. If you move your mouse over a box it will
automatically click it within 2-3 seconds. Very irritating. Wish someone
could help with a fix.
