Which is the best? Are they for different systems? I use xphome.

ipodderx is for Macs, so that leaves that one out.

I have tried all of the windows clients.

http://www.jpodder.com/ is very good. It's written in java, but is not a
pig about it. It even has podcast production abilities and an ID3 tag
editor.

jPodder has a new feature that will re-write ID3 tags at download. But
it appears to change ID3v2 tags only.

Doppler is also very good. Doppler will have ID3 tag re-writing in it's
next release per the developer.

For me, it's between jPodder and Doppler.
