Hello any and everyone. I am taking an online PC class for my major in
school, and our assignment is to write a one page paper that summarizes the
new features of Windows XP. Can anyone tell me what some of the new features
are and what they enable you to do?

I know what XP will enable you to do, only I'm not sure what the instructor
means by "new" features. Unless of course she is referring to the Vista
version.

Plz help!!

Also, how do I get into notepad?

Thanks,

In addition to Carey's reply.
Start>All Programs>Accessories>doubleclick the Notepad icon.

There are no "new" features in XP. In fact, XP itself is an OLD and warn out
operating system (and I use the term very loosely) and hence, by
definition, can't have any "new" features.

A one-page "paper?" I wish I'd had it that easy. ;-}

WinXP is 3½ years old now, which is approximately 2 generations, in
computing terms. I don't think any of its features can possibly be
considered "new," anymore. Be that as it may, you can start here:

If you don't understand the assignment, you should consult the
instructor for clarification.

Unless of course she is referring to the Vista
version.

Vista is not a new version of WinXP, although it is a new version of
Windows.

Let me guess, this is a Computer Science class, right? Start > All
Programs > Accessories > NotePad.

Additional advice: If you're going to take college-level courses, you
need to learn how to research things for yourself.
