What does the gang think the easiest to operate remote desktop? I don't mind
buying one as there is problems on the clients end trying to config anything.

I need to send a program to my distant friends to install thats easy - easy.

Use Remote Desktop (provided that the host machine
runs WinXP Professional).

Do you have a opinion about something like PCanywhere or any other?

pcAnywhere is slower, it is more difficult to operate and it
costs more money than Remote Desktop (which is included
in WinXP Professional). However, pcAnywhere will run on
all flavours of Windows.

Another option is WinVNC. Not as polished as pcAnywhere
but a little faster (I think). It's free too. My version does not
support file transfer (which pcAnywhere does) but I believe
that some recent VNC flavours do.

VNC or UltraVNC - free, easy, simple, works great, lasts long time.
