PLS Help with MyLogOn

Ian:

Serveral questions:


can the server name have a dash in it like : main-server


Can't get MyLogOn to authenticate XP Home machines with a username
and
password that the server accepts when you navigate in windows
explorer
to a server share and click it, the server prompts for a the username
and password and accepts the same ones that fail in MyLogOn.

A server can have a dash in its name, yes.

Have you checked with the people who support MyLogOn? That's what I'd try.
Or look for a support forum for it. I think that will get you more help
than posting in a MS Windows group ...

Have you checked with the people who supportMyLogOn? That's what I'd try.
Or look for a support forum for it. I think that will get you more help
than posting in a MS Windows group ...

If you google "mylogon", Ian's name comes up most frequently as
recommending this solution. I assume he is somehow involved with the
program. The site for the program has no email contact only phone
numbers in Scotland.

Not necessarily a valid assumption. I don't need the software, so I've never
googled for it. This is a peer newsgroup, so you'll increase the odds of
your getting help if you cast a widernet.
The site for the program has no email contact only phone
numbers in Scotland.

I'm sure there's some way to email them, or a forum, or something.
