Please upgrade UAB 2 installer to include dotnet 2 patch

There is a patch to upgrade UAB2 to dotnet 2 on gotdotnet

But, as normal, there are no instructions on what to do to patch the
Microsoft UAB 2 install.

Can Microsoft please upgrade their UAB2 installer to support dotnet 2 now.

I really need help urgently as I am completely lost due to the changes that
I'm expected to use a crystal ball to understand.

Hi Luke,

really, your answers are so short that I'm worried. The suggestion form that
you indicate is one of the more useless features provided by Microsoft. I
have submitted to it many times and never had an outcome that is satisfactory.

This is a programming issue and here we are. The Microsoft UAB2 is suitable
for dotnet 1.x Please ask someone suitable to update it to dotnet 2.x as we
are still using it (many people in fact).

I'm hoping you can actually do this, rather than asking me to do something
that will have no result ever.

In .NET framework 2.0, there is a new feature named "clickonce", which can
take the place of UAB. You may take a look at it to see if it can help you:

Hi Luke,

I think I and many other people mention in many many different locations
that Clickonce is not a solution for our needs. I'm sure I mention this
everywhere.

Can you please ask the appropriate group in Microsoft to put the dotnet 2
patch found on gotdotnet onto the UAB 2, update the documentation and
references and please release UAB 2 for dotnet 2 installer.

This is needed urgently.
