Please Some One!! I Need Help!!!

Hello to all..

I really don't know if some of you came over this issue before or not. But
to make it fast here is the problem.

For some reason when you right click on any video file and goto properties
then summary > advanced to check the file properties such as the used audio
compression/video size and more..

It is gone!! all it says there is the following message:

"Summary properties are unavailable for the selected source(s)."

I never let my windows update automaticly tho. And i save a lot of startup
resources and that is how i tweak my computer. But i check for the windows
updates manually every 3 to 4 days! it only takes me few sec as well. I
noticed that this problem started when i've got the new GDI+ latest update
two days ago.

So is that is the problem! or not? and if the answer either yes or no.. any
one please can help? and to figure out with me what can cause this? I am a
Audio/Video Editor and i use PC and MAC but this is really bothering me on
the workstation am on!

NOTE:: I didn't mention any of my hardware or softwares. Because i am into
MS sincve 1980! and i know what i am doing.. And that issue started
yesterday! So if it was working before normally then there is no use to list
a hardware or software cause it is not either one or both issue.. It is a
MICROSOFT issue.

This is not an accurate reply and I share my guess only.
The properties come from external programs to windows. in the case of
wmv , it is the "Windows Media Player" for other types of files, there
my be a different source. so, any modfication to these external
programs may cause to loss the capability. you may do this unwantedly
by:
-- Removing some programs or files ( espacially dlls)
-- ReInstalling or updating files and programs. this may cause a
version compatibility problem.

Try d/ldng a program called AVIcodec (NOTE: not just for AVI -a lso
works on mpg/mpeg/etc) - when you right-click a media file and choose
AVIcodec:detailed info, it will give you the details you need.

That AviCodec fixed my problem tho.. The funny thing is i am a microsoft
beta tester.. and i found out today not long ago on a very new machine after
a clean install.

That it is not a missing files, dlls, or conflicts..

This happens with the GDI+ upadte and the WMP10 Security holes updates!
Strange eh!

Anyways thanks again for your help and it is really appreciated..
