Registry Mechanic is what I use, the free version has some limitations,
but it's definatly the best out there. There is also TweakNow
RegCleaner, but it located literally 1/25 the registry problems as
Registry Mechanic.
I'll give you two recommendations for the price of one:
(1) Don't use any registry cleanup utility. The best case is that
they don't make things worse.
(2) Read the newsgroup for a while before you post. Very often
you'll find your question has already been answered. This
particular question has probably been answered several dozen times
in the last week, counting the articles in the various similar
threads.
Registry cleaners do not make your machine go faster. At
best they do nothing useful; at worst they do a lot of damage.
To get the most effective registry cleaner you need to go
for the cheapest. It is likely to do the most damage.
Hello, I use RegSeeker. Can't give an opinion, not qualified. Will state
that I use program in a limited way and have up to this point never had a
problem. I remove 12 to 25 entries aday, as an average a little over 6500
entries a year.
I also use JV16 PowerTools "the last free offering", in a limited way, it
will list all programs and if I find programs that I removed listed I check
that item for removal.
Using registry cleaners is very dangerous, can compromise the OS.
Take Care.
