We have 3 computers networked, 2 are running XP, all are hard wired. Prior to
installing XP (we had ME) we were all able to access the other computers.
Now, even with the firewalls removed, we can "see" the other computers on the
network but when we try to access the other' files, we get, the error
message, can't access, make sure the path........)
We are using FAT32, and no matter what we try, we can't access the other
computers.
We don't have the option "simple file sharing" in tools, view. Is there any
way we can get around this? Is there another way to set up the network other
than, running the network wizard (which we have done NUMEROUS times).
Thanks for any help or suggestions

Provide ipconfig information for each computer, as a start.
1) Start - Run - "cmd".
2) Type "ipconfig /all >c:\ipconfig.txt" into the command window.
3) Open Notepad, make sure that Format - Word Wrap is NOT checked!.
4) Open file c:\ipconfig.txt from Notepad.
5) Copy and paste entire contents of the file into your next post.
6) Identify operating system (by name, version, and Service Pack level) with
each ipconfig listing.

Hi Chuck, I happen to read your (at least I think it was your thread) post
and the replies after I sent my question. I am going to try what you
suggested here, as a matter of fact, I copied your thread and responses to a
document to show my husband. Thank you for responding, this is so
frustrating, especially since, we were fine (network access, internet access)
until we installed XP.
Thanks again :D
