My computer has been running fairly slowly. When i open
the task manager, at any given time the percentage of CPU
that the "system" process uses is between 92 and 99
percent. What should i do?

In task manager look at the processes and see which app running is using all
the cpu. If its idle than its ok. If not then work from there.

system is using all the CPU

Details please?

Open Task Manager and click the Processes Tab. Which entry is taking all of
the CPU time.

Check the Event Viewer for possible information. Go to start/Run and type
eventvwr.msc and press OK. Click the 3 menu items on the left and look for
any "X" error messages. If any are found, double click the error entry to
see the details. If you find an error that is coincidng with the behavior,
click the Copy Icon on the details dialog screen and paste the error details
in a reply to this message.

You will need to look and see which program is using all the CPU and post
back.

In the task manager, it says SYSTEM is using the CPU. Not
a program, SYSTEM. If it was a program, I would have it
figured out. System is the process using the cpu. Not
System Idle, before you ask. System.

Ok, here are all the errors in the log:
