please help with router 4 home network

hi there everyone i am trying to set my home router up so
i can have the internet spread over 3 computers in my
house i dont want to have to leave the one on and use it
as the router i would like to use the router/switch to
share it i have cable internet and presently i have it
plugged into the main computer and have to have it on the
manual for the router says to set the computers up to use
the ip 186.166.1.2-255 or something simaller to that but
i cant even get them to talk to each other or force them
to that ip please help

You can't get them to talk to each other until you setup their IP.

It sounds to me like you read the manual for the router, set it aside,
and now your trying to setup everything. Most companies (dlink,
linksys, netgear) provide very simple and easy to follow directions for
setting up. Just follow the directions step by step. There is a manual
for a reason.

provide as much detailed info as you can.
