I've been trying to Archive everything in my Outlook XP that is older
than 6/1/02, but every time that I run it, Nothing is removed from
OUtlook before 6/1. I'm obvioulsy doing something wrong. Could someone
walk me through how to do this please?

Thanks in advance!!!

Outlook uses the "modified" date for archiving so if you have accessed any
items in the time after 6/1, then its date is changed to the date you last
accessed it.

Try this - add the Modified Date to the column view (right click->field
chooser) and then display your mail by the modified date. You can easily
see what mail is a candidate for archiving and what will not.

I don't understand this at all. I'm sorry, but could you please guide
me through what you are referring to step by step? I was interested in
how to use the File -> Archive feature and when it offers the option
to archive items older than _____________ (you pick the date)

I want to be able to do this so that I can then synch and purge older
information off of my PPC.

For a step by step tutorial, use the Help files for Archiving. Use the
search term Auto-archiving to display the extensive help topics.

Milly,
I appreciate you guidance, but really you must not be reading what I
have experienced. I've done as the help files have instructed, but
nothing gets removed. If you would care to please be a little more
helpful being that you are an MVP, I know that you are knowledgeable.
What am I doing wrong or is this some type of bug in Outlook's Archive
feature.

For a step by step tutorial, use the Help files for Archiving. Use the
search term Auto-archiving to display the extensive help topics.
