Hi. I don't know where else to go with this. On the MS support site there is
no way to get support for my Windows 2003 Server Standard, x64 Edition. The
site will not recognise my product code.

Also there is no forum here for Windows Server at all ;-).

Hope someone can fix this and ensure that the flagship OS of the company is
supported!

Cheers.

You might wish to call PSS if you need one-on-one support.

Sure there is -

microsoft.public.windows.server.*

It is. You might want to consider using a newsreader like Outlook Express or
Forte Agent rather than the web interface to the newsgroups - it's a lot
easier to do nearly everything there, including searching, which is always a
good idea to do before you post, as well as mark messages to be watched, and
filter based on replies to your posts.

The Microsoft public news server is msnews.microsoft.com and you can
subscribe to as many groups as you like.

Hi and thanks.

I did find the server forum, I have posted there. I had been mislead down
the path of microsoft.windows.windows.* :-)

I may need to call phone support in order to get this larger issue resolved,
however I doubt I can get a hold of (and don't want to wait on hold for)
someone technical enough with enough time to review my problem over the phone
- it's quite involved.

Thanks for your advice RE newsgroup readers. I don't really use this sort of
resource often enough to have ever bothered getting an app to do it. Clearly
though, MS does need to be made aware that email support is not available and
that their web pages/databases need updating to include Server 2k3 x64.

I hope someone who can pass this on reads it soon... :-S

Aaron.

Actually, my experience with the MS server support people is that they
are excellent and are extremely technically competent. Of course, you
have to be willing to pay for this but since you have a server you
undoubtedly have a support contract. The last time I used server
support it cost $245/hr. and was worth every penny.
