Please Help!! Urgent!! Fs2004 Wont Work!

im in a right dilemma! loaded FS2004 to have a play for a while and its all gone tits up! it dosent see my graphics card in the settings (see the pics) and i get an error!

Abit IC7-G
Radeon 9800 Pro

What could it be? i feel so deprived without that game :(

Try re-installing the latest graphics card drivers. It could re-register them for you.
 
Yeah, reinstall graphics card drivers, make sure direct x is the correct or later version, also check that Display Settings (right click on desktop) -> Settings -> Advanced -> Troubleshooting -> Hardware Acceleration is set to Full.

awesome isnt it...providing you have settings on high, a joystick and some knowledge of how planes work.

you any good?

I think you get a warning before the BIOS if this happens - I've done that once and got a warning screen (just to see what happened ;) )
 
NO!

ITS NOT WORKING!! :(:(:(:(

could it be the game? would a reinstall of that be in order? i hope not - i have so many addons (about 3 gig + the game)

hardware fault?

im pulling my hair out!!

unoverclocked it, reset direct 3d settings to default and AARGH!!
 
You could always "roll back" you PC to when is last worked if you have WinXP? That app has saved my skin a few times!
 
Yeah i have windows XP - never used the rollback thing though... easy?

I havent ever set any restore points other than the automatically done ones...

how i go about doing it - worth it over reinstalling game?
 
restored to yesterday and it deleted my video driver so reinstalled that.

guess what.

doesnt work!!

am going to reinstall the game i guess.
 
You haven't downloaded the latest Win XP SP2 have you. That is fun and games when the drivers don't like it. (I had trouble with Belkin Wireless network!)
 
yeah i have SP2 and have been using it for a while no probs!

Reinstalled FS2004 (which i hate doing as its on 4 cds and then i have to install new planes/textures etc which means dragging files to numerous different folders....)

It works fine now :D

is that an F-14 is the backround of that first screenshot?

glad your issue is now resolved, thought that might have been an issue with your omega drivers, i was getting excited to prove you wrong because i think there a bit dodgy!
 
LOL! the omega drivers are awesome - you should use them.

Nope its not an F14 Tomcat - its a Eurofighter Typhoon (note the single tail fin and elevator at the front as opposed to the back)
 
frankly, what bothers me most is that had a problem that you couldnt fathom out yourself Chris... Fills me with fear. Utter dread. Everyone depends on you!!!!!

oh i am!!

so long as it does not involve flight simulator!

then i really loose it and go mad and i fear for my life!
