Please Help! (regarding my product key)

Okay so, I tried logging onto my computer today, and a window popped up
saying that windows needed to be activated before I continue...I hit "Yes".
Upon login, another window popped up stating "Windows is already activated,
press okay to continue." And once I hit okay, it kicks me back to the login
screen, asking if I want to activate windows. Also, I popped in an XP CD to
try an repair it, but it says that the product key on my laptop is not a
valid key. Anything at all I can do to fix this!?
