I have installed Office 2003 and would like to use
Outlook. I currently use Outlook Express and upgraded
from Office XP. I set Outlook 2003 as my default email
program and the connections seem right however everything
still goes to Outlook express. When I send a test
message it goes to Express instead of Outlook. Do I
have to delete Outlook Expree and/or Office XP to make
this work. Thanks in advance.

Set your default mail program as Outlook 2003 in Control Panel-> Internet
Options-> tab Programs.

Also remove the configured account from Outlook Express if you have that
open as well. Otherwise when Outlook Express polls the server before Outlook
2003 Outlook Express will download and remove the message from the server.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm kind of new at this.
Would you tell me how to do this? (remove configured
account) Thanks!

basically, don't open OE.

Yes, but when you also use it for newsreading... ;-)

In OE press Tools-> Accounts-> tab Mail and remove the account
