please help! "My Computer" wont open! Do I have a virus?

I been having this problem for about a week already. Whenever I click on the icons "My Computer", "My Pictures". "My Documents" "Recycling Bin" and "Search", none will open. I would click on them repeatedly and still wont open. I dont know whats wrong. Is is possible that I have a virus or is there something else thats effecting it? Please someone help me.
