PLEASE HELP! Capture freezes after a few seconds...

Friends, please help me out...on my first use of WM2, I was able to capture 15 minutes worth of DV before it froze and then I couldn't even save it! My subsequent attempts to capture have resulted in only a few seconds (15-20 sec) of capture before the capture mode freezes...please help...I'm so excited to get this working and converting my video to DVD or Video CD! Thanks!!!
 
What is your brand and model camcorder (assuming you are starting with a
camcorder)? And what are you using to connect it to your computer?

I am having simiar problem,s when saving a project tnen
replaying it with WMP. I can download and edit the clips
from my Samsung 23 camera. I can edit and replay in
Moviemaker without a hitch, but after saving the project
as both a project and a WMP movie file, it freezes at
transition points and credits. Even if I do not add
transitions it freezes betweens the clips. What am I
doing wrong and how do I correct it?
