PLEASE HELP! Cannot input/type text

Hi

For some reason, I can't type anything onto my word document. It is as if it doesn't recognise the keyboard. But it still responds to the mouse, as I can click on tabs. I have the same problem with Excel, Windows Help, etc. However, I can type if I'm on the internet, like I'm doing now, or if I want to use a search engine, it's fine also. Please help asap

perhaps you need to replace your mouse, or your
keyboard. Unplug and re-plug both out/in and snug them
up... if a problem persists, consider your keyboard
first.
