Playsound does not work within program

One of my programs which used the Playsound API (winmm.dll) to play a .WAV
file stopped working after installing Windows XP Service Pack 2. I tried
chanigng the Firewall and DEP settings but it still did not work.

I read something about the new Audio Server but could not get much
information about it in this regard.

I will be glad if someone can please

Go to the program's website and look for tech support there. In
particular, look for updates, patches, known issues, user forums, etc.
Many companies updated their programs to comply with SP2.
