Playing VCD's

I recently aquired a film on VCD, I dont have the disk,
but a friend sent me the file. It wont play in Media, or
any of my DIVX and alike players that I have. Any nideas
on how I could play it? or find out what the file type
might acually be?

What file extenstion does the file have? if it is
a .DAT, .ISO, .CUE/.BIN then the video needs to be
extraced out.
