I'm having a heck of a time trying to find a way to listen
to the media play on the remote server using remote
desktop. All sounds error out and defualt driver is the
RDP Microsoft one.

This does work by using a third pary remote administrator
program, but i would like to use Remote Desktop.

I understand WinAmp can do this with a remote playlist
controller, but i dont think WinAmp plays WMA files.

Anyways, any help would be greatfull.

This is a known issue... Try starting a media player before
connecting via Remote Desktop, then connect. Your audio should work
fine from that point..
