Hi,

Is it possible for me to setup 8 monitors on windows 2000 and play a DVD so
that I split it on to these monitors ?

I know that it is possible to extend desktop on windows 2000 to upto 10
monitors. But I belive that the extended desktops has restricted capablity.

Any thoughts on this is appreciated...

Rajesh

Hi,

For what you want to do, I beleive you need specialized hardware for that
function. I don't think the basics programs and functions that come with
vid cards will enable you to spread the video over 8 displays without a lot
of degradation of the video. I know with TV displays that they do this on,
they use specialized hardware which spreads the picture over the displays.

I have 2 monitors on a ati 9000 dual head graphic card
I cannot play part of the movie on one monitor and the other part on the
second monitor..
The movie displays only on one or the other....

while I drag the enlarged video from one screen on to the other... it pops
from one to the other,
and does not play simultaneously on both.

You probably can, and I don't know why you couldn't provided you
installed the hardware and software, of course this is the XP newsgroup
so your milage may vary.
